Pakistan’s Supreme Court has apparently declared war on the parliament as Chief Justice Omer Ata Bandiyal has constituted an emergency bench of 8 judges to hear petitions against a law that is yet to come on the field. The bill restricting chief justice’s powers to constitute benches has been passed by the parliament and it waits mandatory time of another 8 days to become a law after president had refused to sign the same. The bench will begin hearing tomorrow on Thursday increasing the possibility of a strong reaction from the parliament and the government.
