Lawyers leaders at a lawyers convention hosted by Pakistan Bar Council have sharply criticised Chief Justice Omer Ata Bandiyal for his decision against the parliament and have announced to observe a black day tomorrow (Tuesday) across the courts in Pakistan. Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandiyal has come under countrywide criticism by lawyers across Pakistan for suspending a parliament’s made law that restricted Chief Justice’s administrative powers to form benches and take direct action on political matters in the name of human rights jurisdiction. In this video prominent lawyers leader and former president of Supreme Court Bar Association warns the apex court that if it did not take back its decision to suspend a parliament made law (days before it was to come into operation) then lawyers across Pakistan would come out on roads in protest against the chief justice.
