Former prime minister Imran Khan will spend three more days in Attock prison as lawyer from election commission failed to turn up being indisposed and Chief Justice Amir Farooq sitting next to Justice Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri announced that court cannot decide on the request for suspension of 3 years jail term of Imran Khan without hearing arguments from complainant -Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Three weeks ago a trial court in Islamabad convicted former prime minister Imran Khan in a corruption case and sent him to jail for 3 years. The limited jail term entitled him to seek suspension of his sentence by a high court after preliminary arguments. A Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice Umer Ata Bandiyal had also categorically asked the high court to decide the matter immediately but the high court today said that it could not decide it without hearing the complainant.
