This is a story of persecution of a senior police officer who fell foul of his ex wife who happened to be the daughter of a former chief justice of Lahore High Court. Judges from trial court, high court and Supreme Court apparently colluded to keep a senior police officer DIG Junaid in jail for four years without bail during a trial that remains undecided till today. Now that he has been released on bail after more than four years the judges daughter has again moved the Supreme Court for cancellation of his bail. The case is now being heard of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Ayesha Malik of the apex court, both from Lahore and formerly Lahore High Court whose chief justice has been the petitioner’s father.
