The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday restored appeals of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif against his conviction in controversial corruption cases which led to his self exile for four years and his subsequent return a few days ago. The two judges bench comprising chief justice Islamabad High Court Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb also ordered that Nawaz Sharif remains on bail. Nawaz Sharif was convicted and sentenced to over 10 years of jail after an international Panama scandal emerged followed by controversial Supreme Court proceedings.
