A seven judges Supreme Court bench has undone its own verdict that disqualified sitting prime minister Nawaz Sharif in 2017. With only a month before the scheduled general elections on 08 Feb 24 a Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa led bench declared that a 2017 infamous Panama case verdict that permanently disqualified Nawaz Sharif from politics was unconstitutional as the same was done by “reading into the constitution” a disqualification time period which was not mentioned in the constitution. #MJtv analysis today’s order and also exclusively talked to Attorney General for Pakistan Barrister Mansoor Usman Awan.
