The Supreme Court of Pakistan today examined government’s actions against journalists who had criticised an apex court verdict that deprived main political party #PTI of its election symbol. The apex court asked the attorney general to discuss with the court reporters associations and come up with a joint proposal to resolve the matter tomorrow (Tuesday). #MJtv talks to senior court reporters Hasnat Malik, Saqib Bashir, Ehtesham Kiani and Suhail Rasheed. Pakistani media is coming under increased pressure from both the government and judiciary ahead of the controversial 08 Feb election. On the instructions of Chief justice led 3 judges bench attorney general Bartister Mansoor Usman Awan met representatives of court reporters and sources said he demanded written guarantees against what he said undue and intemperate language of criticism of court verdicts.
