The Supreme Court had ordered allocation of women and minorities seats quota to opposition PTI by rejecting election commission’s case that the party was without a legal representative body due to faulty intra-party elections. The court had however allowed the commission to file application in case of any query. The election commission now asks the apex court in writing about status of about 41 elected MPs who could not be endorsed by PTI without an elected party structure.
