Differences have emerged within the coalition government over distribution among coalition partners of no of seats in the newly reconstituted Judicial Commission that appoints judges and selects those judges who would hear constitutional matters. The new judicial commission was established pushed under the recently passed 26th constitutional amendment that allows 4 politicians to sit in the 13 member commission which includes 5 judges of Supreme Court, govt’s attorney general and law minister apart from the lawyers representative and a nominee of the speaker National Assembly.
