Pakistan’s Chief Justice Umer Ata Bandiyal has abused his administrative and judicial powers to urgently constitute a bench of his favourite judge and also personally head it to hear a case involving his own mother in law. Petitioners have asked apex court to prevent a judicial probe into audio leaks that reveal political tilt of the family members of the judges and some of the judges themselves.
