A three member bench of Supreme Court of Pakistan today imposed Rs 200,000/- fine on Khyber Pukhtunkhawa government for filing a frivolous appeal against an unemployed young man from Chitral. Amjad Ur Rehman a young computer teacher was refused a job by the provincial government on the grounds of being over qualified. Amjad was Masters in Computer Sciences where is the job requirement was a simple diploma in computers. Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that it did not appeal to common sense that a highly qualified person was not even considered for the job being “over-qualified” whereas a less qualified diploma holder was given the job. #MJtv talks to the young man who successfully fought a 4 years long legal battle.
