A three judges bench of Supreme Court of Pakistan today refused to temporarily halt forced deportation of Afghan refugees back to their country. Pakistan’s civil society members and some politicians had invoked apex courts human rights jurisdiction to seek a halt to eviction of Afghans pending a final decision but the bench headed by Justice Sardar Tariq Masud sent the matter back to a judges committee for considering constitution of a larger bench for interpretation of constitutional powers available to the incumbent caretaker government with regard to en mass eviction of Afghan refugees.

#MJtv talks to (R-L) Senator Farhatullah Babar, Advocate Umer Gillani & Advocate Samiuddin after the court proceedings.
